What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Here we have another A2 media student, Cameron Patel talks to us about what he liked in our final edit of our video.
We also posted our video on Facebook. As you can see from the image below lots of people have liked our video and the comments are very supportive. The people who have liked are video are within the ages of 16 and 18 and are of mixed genders. This is what we planned out perfect target audience would be and shows that our audience research was successful.
We also posted our video on youtube and received 344 views on youtube which is also, in my opinion, a good indication on how the audience enjoyed our video. One thing we did found out was the average viewing time of the video was about 1:30. This shows us that the audience might have found are shots slightly repetitive and we should of taken some more time in our planning so that when we came to shoot the video, we had some more eye catching shots so that the audience wouldn't get bored.
How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
I am going to create create a 3 by 3 ‘art of the title’ style grid of screen shots from my film and then describe in detail with examples how it compares to a similar ‘real’ media product.
This is my first screen shot from my video.
It is similar to real media products because
it displays the song name and band name
which occurs in many other real media products.
My second screen shot from my video is my opening
shot. This is an establishing shot which includes
the lead actor and lead singer of the band which
is very much like real media products in my chosen
genre.
My third screen shot from my video is when my second
lead actor appears on the video. This character is the
start of the videos narrative progression and for all
real life media products who have a narrative this shot
will be very common.
My fourth screen shot from my video is the start of the
equilibrium disrupting and progressing the narrative in
the video. This applies to all real life media products
who have a narrative and use Todorov's equilibrium theory.
My Fifth screen shot is a shot which occurs in many
different real life media products which is the lead singer/
lead actor on his own in a shot with effective lighting and visual
effects.
This screen shot is my sixth screen shot and
occurs many times in real life media products
in my chosen genre. The shot only includes
the lead guitarist of the band playing the song from one angle.
My seventh screen shot is again very occurrent in
real life media products in my chosen genre. It again
only includes the lead guitarist of the band however
this time from a different angle.
My eightieth screen shot occurs many times in
real life media products in my chosen genre. It is a
close up shot of our lead singer with the band in the backround.
My ninth and final screen shot is very popular in all types
of music videos in all types of genre's. It is a full band shot playing
the song.
My Fifth screen shot is a shot which occurs in many
different real life media products which is the lead singer/
lead actor on his own in a shot with effective lighting and visual
effects.
