Investigate how musicians promote themselves.

State Champs's most recent release was their album Around the World and Back. Therefore their main album cover photo is in the shape of the earth which is very appropriate considering the title 'Around the World and Back.' I also like the fact they have incorporated their band name within the globe image. If you look close enough you can see an S and a C within the lines of the globe. The S and C standing for State Champs. This Image, I think is a very clever marketing idea incorporating the title of the album and band name into one image and I will definitely use this Image as a prominent Image in my digipack. As you can see on the album cover the band name and alum title are relatively small compared to the Image however, the writing is in a clear font in Bold so it stands out. The colour contrast between gold and black offers a powerful stand out of the images and the colour. However in my digipack I think I will change the colours of this Image to make the Image more my own

Point 25- Casting

Charlie Bailey

Charlie is being cast as our lead
actor in our side story and our
lead singer in our band. We
chose Charlie because he is
a brilliant actor and recently has
been accepted to attend AMDA
next year and is also my best
mate so he was delighted to
help.









Grace Pritchard


Grace is going to play the role of Charlie's girlfriend in my
video. One of the reasons we chose her is that she has a strong friendship with Charlie and they will work very well together. Also she is a very good actress, she played Heather in  Gordonstoun's recent production of American Idiot and did an amazing Job so this is another reason why we chose her.













Ciara Middleton

Ciara is Playing the role of the girl who Charlie cheats on Grace with. We chose Ciara because she is in My A-Level Theatre Studies class and we performed in a play of William Shakespeare's Coriolanus together, which we were awarded Trinity College London Distinction for so this is why we have chose her.












Shaun Clarke

Shaun is going to drum for our band shots. Shaun played drums for American Idiot and is a great drummer so we are going to get him to listen to our chosen song so he can get a feel for the drumming so that when we come to filming he can play along to the song and the we will be able to create a convincing band sync

Point 24- Shot Locations and shots of the locations

This is the North Gate at Gordonstoun School. As all the members of Pyramid Entertainment attend Gordonstoun we already have permission to use it. This is the main place we will shoot the Unknown girl walking to meet up with the boyfriend in the video. They will meet at the gate and then walk through the gate when the boyfriends girlfriend watches him walk away with another girl. This location offers great opportunities for dramatic long shots and a great final shot to fade out from for a finish. This fade out shot will give the audience a sense that the video is over and complete.

This is the Silent Walk at Gordonstoun School. As all the members of Pyramid Entertainment attend Gordonstoun we already have permission to use it. Similarly to the North Gate the footage we take from the Silent walk will be mostly the unknown girl walking at night to meet the boyfriend and also the boyfriend going to meet the unknown girl. As well as the long shots we get at the North gate the Silent Walk proposes another great location to take some great long shots.
